I have done several puzzle pieces for the “We Are All Connected Art Project”, The first one I did with just writing the lyrics of John Lennon’s “Imagine”, a continuous circle. It was what I was thinking holding that very first piece of the puzzle in my hand. I had no artistic ability (or so I was told), and this would be the way that I could express how I felt.
The second one was when before I started with watercolors. I simply hammered a pansy flower onto the puzzle piece. I saw how that was done on fabrics and papers and tried it. The colors were spectacular. It was the beginning of spring and so fitting.
The third one I did was of a watercolor rooster. I wanted to do one finally with paint. Oddly enough, I received another blank puzzle piece in the mail after I sent off the rooster. Mistake, I think not. As soon as I held that blank piece in my hand I knew exactly what I wanted on it.
Dad will always and forever be part of the project now. If you want to get involved in this project, please reach out to #beasagar on Instagram. It is a fantastic project with artists from all over the world who have participated. She will send you a blank puzzle piece in the mail, along with a stamped envelope to get it back to her. She puts each puzzle back together and frames them. It is quite an undertaking. She asks for donations between $1-$25 to keep this show going.
